Rowi on Windows Phone gets Aviary Photo Editor SDK

Aviary SDK allows Developers to add In-App Photo Editing

As we reported earlier this month, Aviary released it’s SDK to allow other applications to utilize their editing software. As part of this release, there were a number of developers working to bring this image editing tool to their own apps. One such application has already integrated Aviary and updated their software: the Twitter app, Rowi.

This update allows users to edit their images in Rowi before uploading, without having to use an external editor. The prompt to use the Aviary editor shows after the selection of the photo the users wants to upload. The use of the editor is optional.

Some of the features Aviary brings to Rowi are:

  • Photo features such as Enhance, Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness and Filters
  • ClipArt Stickers
  • Cropping and Resizing – allows for set ratios
  • Drawing and Text
  • Redeye and Blempish reduction
