PlayXBLA released a list of 13 upcoming titles for the Windows 8 platform as well as 15 others to be expected in the future. Most of the games are expected to be released October 26, as others will be released throughout the holiday season and beyond. The upcoming titles include Gunstringer, Hydro Thunder Hurricane, Pinball FX 2, Toy Soldiers and Wordament.

This week’s deal is Chickens Can’t Fly by Microsoft Studios. You can now get the game for $1.99, discounted from $2.99.
In Chickens Can’t Fly, you control a poor falling chicken, avoiding different obstacles by tilting your phone. The speed increases constantly until you reach the next checkpoint. You can try to make the chick’s life a little bit easier by flapping its wings or steering it towards walls, slowing down her descent.

WinSource has taken a closer look at the Marketplace and found out something interesting: only 23 apps in the top 100 are exclusive to the Windows Phone platform. Could this have something to do with Microsoft’s strategy of funding ports of popular apps? The WinSource’s list is here, slightly modified to take recent changes into account:
