Windows Phone U.K. has begun a rewards program for developers who have made and published apps in the Windows Phone marketplace. The program has four tiers of prizes ranging from 12-month Xbox live subscription and the Beer Machine 2000 to a cruise in four luxurious automobiles (Ferrari 360, Porsche GT3, Lamborghini Gallardo and the Aston Martin). Not bad for making a couple of apps.
However, for such great prizes, developers’ apps must be “successfully published” and fulfill a “uniqueness and originality criteria.” The program is only available to U.K. developers and points only accrue after joining the program. Additionally, any points awarded must be used by August 12, 2012, which is the end-date of the program.
